Hurricane - Ferris wheel drive belt.
Now in its 10th year, Hurricane can suffer from slippage of the Ferris wheels,
particularly when there is a ball in them. This is because the belts appear
to lose their flexibility.
As you may or may not be aware, the drive belt (P/N 23-6663) that drives the two
Ferris wheels is now discontinued.
We have successfully found an alternative that will enable you to replace your own
tired/stretched belt for the modest cost of £6.95 (plus VAT in EEC).
Simply order part number 23-6663 from us in the usual way!
When you receive your new belt, be sure to adjust the tensioning wheel on the drive
unit (item #7 on the breakdown of parts in the manual), this should be as close to
the surface of the playfield as the bracket will allow.
DO NOT USE OIL ON THE PULLEYS (we have seen it done) - This will render the unit useless.
