Due to the number of people sending us boards that have had an appauling
quality of work done on them which we have to correct, we no longer offer
fixed price board repairs. We now offer a similar scheme - if NO attemps have been made to do a 'home repair' to the board then we will charge the same as we always have (detailed below) but if any attemps to repair the board yourself have been made then we will charge at our hourly labour rate of £58.75, as there is much more work involved and in some cases we will just not attempt to repair the board where a 'home repair' has gone bad. This excludes quality repairs done previously which will be charged at the old rate. The idea on fixed repair prices was that sometimes a board will take 15 minutes to repair, sometimes it will take 5 hours. So the old fixed price scheme was a fair and average in-between. But where someone has attempted the repair themselves it takes out the possible 'easy' element and will probably be at least 1-2 hours work, even just checking over someone else's soldering!
